Well, this is stupid.

Yesterday, for seemingly no reason, I was banned/suspended from Warframe until 2035 (permanently). After contacting support, apparently it was for “use of 3rd party software that is designed for the sole purpose of cheating the game.”. This makes no sense. It wouldn’t make sense to me if it was a ban for software that may be used to cheat, but the statement that it was “designed for the sole purpose of cheating the game.” is insane. I have nothing like this. But DE will not tell me what the software was, how I used it to cheat, or literally anything else, so that’s all I got.

I’ve tried to reason with them about this being a false ban, trying to figure out if I’ve falsely flagged some system, tried to give them any evidence I could, but they refuse to tell me anything, and just keep telling me I’m permanently banned and there is no way to appeal that.

With that being the case, there is absolutely no way I’m putting another millisecond of work into anything related to Warframe. Unfortunately that means I’m not gonna run the Arbitration Server anymore, or the discord bot for it, or the guide for it, or anything else related to it, so I figured it only makes sense to just close it down.

It sucks, but you can trust me that I’m more disappointed by this than anyone. I think it’s crazy that after over 10 years of playing this game, over 7000 hours on this game, you can just get banned for no reason with no explanation and no way to appeal it. Especially after pouring hundreds of hours into developing tools and guides for it and creating and mainting a huge discord community for it. Insanity.

Arbitrations as a thing people actually farm, with a meta and guides partially exists only because 6 years ago, I made this server and brought people together with the ability to know when Arbitrations come up and actually run them consistently. We have 13000 members in here. It’s really disappointing that none of that means anything.

As I said above, I’m gonna close down this server and my bots and websites because it makes no sense to put any effort into a game run like this and honestly, I think everyone should reconsider how much time they want to put into a game that will randomly ban them with no info and no way to appeal.

If you’re unhappy about this, I understand that, I am too, but there isn’t much I can do, go complain to DE support or something, idk.

If you have any questions, or you want to complain about this to me, please don’t DM me as I don’t want to get spammed by everyone, but you can join my personal discord server and ask/complain there:

My post

I’m currently on the grind to try to reach Immortal.

I’ve been trying to expand my agent pool and learn other agents that I thought would help me learn to play more tactically with util like trying out Omen and Yoru but it did not go well and I ended up just going back to Neon who is my main with which I’ve reliably been able to reach Ascendant. I think it’s in part because she works well to enable my aggressive playstyle which doesn’t always get me kills (see low K/D) but does bring value to the team by taking space and creating pressure.

I also think that my active communication and pre-round strat calling is part of why I’m able to keep climbing even with my bad stats.

So right now I’m trying to figure out where I need to focus my improvement on to most efficiently improve. If I should be making better playbooks, improving my mechanics/aim or looking somewhere else for something to improve. For that reason I’d also be curious if you think I could be a good fit for more involved coaching.

This is the tracker for my 2nd main account which I have played most of my games on this act

This is the tracker for my 2nd main account which I have played most of my games on this act

ive been getting more comfortable with my broad game knowledge so I’ve been filling more, unsure if this has been a positive or negative thing

His Review

PERFORMANCE:

Your general playtime is usually in the range of “optimal” if we combine both of your accounts, and with this playtime you could’ve reached Immortal until now! But keep in mind that your improvement rate is not bad - it’s definitely slightly above average. When it comes to this specific Tracker review, I’m only going to focus on your second account because you played majority of your games there in the previous 2 Acts.

It is really good that you’re grinding on 2 accounts, but it should be a simultaneous smart grind - first game you play on your alt account, then 2 games on your main account, then fourth game on your alt account, then 1 or 2 games on your main once again.

GENERAL STATISTICS:

Now, when I took a look at your general statistics on both of your accounts - it’s not looking good - not good at all! Every single statistic of yours is in the range of “bad” or “below average” and you kinda need to focus on fixing everything, but 1 step at the time.

First thing that I would start with is implementing some kind of 15 to 20 minutes warm up, before every single gaming sessions, that is focusing on your most visible mechanical problems at this moment of time - I really can’t tell what are your core mechanical problems just by looking at your Tracker.

Then I’d implement some 30 minutes mechanical training routine, every single day after your gaming sessions, that is focusing once again on your core mechanical problems. Keep in mind that these problems don’t need to be specifically related to your raw aim - it can also be movement or some other problem.

Third thing, and most important one, that you need to focus on is reducing the amount of your deaths! After every game you need to analyze your VODs and ask yourself - if and how a certain death could’ve been prevented or how you could’ve played (or positioned) better a specific scenario. Maybe you are creating a space for your team as a duelist main, but you are definitely not doing it in a smart way. Your job is not only to create the initial space, but also to figure out how you can survive long enough in order to fight together with your teammates. It seems that you are mainly missing better plans for yourself when it comes to general pathing, executes and positioning. With this amount of deaths it’s almost impossible to escape the MEDIUM ELO and to progress faster. Also based on your KAST (which is horrible) it doesn’t really seem that you are doing that good of a job when it comes to general teamplay. Keep in mind that if you’re not alive in this ELO, you can’t control the outcome of your rounds! This is an indicator for a lot of problems in your gameplay. You are definitely taking some fights that you don’t need to take. You are maybe choosing wrong gunfights or your gunfights are never working in your favor. Your re-frag game might also be a problem, where you are not fighting enough together with your teammates and you’re picking a lot of 1v1 gunfights. As a duelist main this can also indicate that your timings might be completely off, and you need to hyper-focus on a proper timing when to do something! Your job is not necessarily to go in and take a kill. Your job is to apply pressure, take some initial space and fight together with your teammates while figuring out how to stay alive in order to control the outcome of each round. Especially if you’re able to make numbers advantage for your team - your job is done. From that moment on you simply “turtle in”, focus on proper “ranked teamplay” and focus on how you can support your allies in the best possible way in order to close out that specific round.

You need to value your life a bit more and focus on a better teamplay and re-frag game! The amount of kills that you get doesn’t matter at all, if those are not impactful kills or if your teammates don’t know how to capitalize on them. What is truly important in this ELO is whether or not you are controlling the outcome of your rounds - and it seems that you are leaving everything in the hands of your random allies. Keep in mind that it’s much better if you win a 13:11 game with 13 kills and 11 deaths, rather than having 25 kills and 20 deaths. Safety, awareness and smarter gameplay is what you’re mainly missing within your current playstyle and general gameplay. You need to do some level of self-reflection, because it seems that you are hitting the same wall - over and over again. Slow down a bit, pay attention on the minimap, ask yourself what type of teammates and enemies you have in a specific match - figure out some plans and protocols that you should follow before you even get in a specific match or round - you are heavily missing those better protocols and rules if you want to move forward!

When it comes to all of the other stats - they are also horrible for this ELO! But, the main problem is that your first fight is usually your last fight as well - essentially every fight that you take is some kind of a 50:50 duel. You are rarely fighting on your own terms and ground, while trying to outplay enemies somehow. For an example V25 Act 1 - in 160 games you had 600 first deaths and the same amount of first bloods as well. What does this tell us? You are not fighting smart! The bottom line is if we combine all of your stats - you simply need to focus more on actually outplaying enemies and using your teammates more efficiently - rather than going face forward into every fight. Obviously this topic is extremely vast and I can’t teach you all of this simply through 1 Tracker review, but that is why you have hundreds of FREE VOD Reviews on my 2nd YouTube channel in which I’ve definitely covered all of these problems for at least some of my students…

When it comes to other stats - I’m not gonna dive deep into them - everything is either “bad” or “below average” and you can simply take a look at other Tracker reviews that I’ve did! But, step 1 for you is making some good warm up and mechanical training routine for yourself. Step 2 is self-relfection, making some kind of a plan before your games and trying to minimize the amount of deaths while focusing on better pathing, positioning and utility usage. Step 3 is implementing better “ranked teamplay” into your core gameplay. Step 4 is valuing your life a bit more while controlling the outcome of your rounds. Step 5 is doing some external “general” training that is focusing on your most visible gameplay problems at this moment of time.

MAIN AGENTS:

I really believe that your main agents are not the problem - it is your core gameplay and mindset! You can probably keep rocking the duelist role as your main with higher focus on Jett & Raze. But, you need to change your general playstyle with these agents. What might be very beneficial for you is to also flex or fill with Omen for some time. He is like a proxy duelist which is probably gonna suite you well, but he will definitely make you focus more on problems that you have within your gameplay and it’s gonna be easier for you to focus yourself on fixing some of these issues. Another pick that might be good is also Chamber. When it comes to Waylay - I wouldn’t touch her. When it comes to Reyna - no need to play her if Iso suites you better. And when it comes to Neon - she is an agent that requires a lot of custom server practice, fast decision making, good mechanics and some kind of a pre-plan that you make before your games and rounds even start! So, if you are just getting into games with Neon without any real plan - that is not good at all and you won’t find a lot of the success in the future. Bottom line is that Omen & Chamber might be beneficial for you to play for a few weeks while focusing on gameplay problems that I’ve mentioned above, but your ultimate goal is to fix all of these problems so that you can stomp on your main duelists!

LOADOUTS:

Your weapon versatility is not that bad, but there are some weapons that you should definitely try to apply more within your gameplay. For an example you are not using Operator enough, if we consider agents that you’re playing. Outlaw is also heavily under-utilized and it is one of the best half-buy and anti-eco weapons. Generally speaking Snipers don’t exist for you, and they are basically a free elo sticks. Bulldog is also a great force-buy weapon on some maps with both long-range and close-range corridors such as Icebox. Odin is a great weapon and solution for some rounds on the maps with paper walls - such as Haven, Ascent & Lotus. Also it seems that Vandal suites you so much more than Phantom, so I don’t see a reason for you to even touch Phantom - but, you should still practice using that weapon becasue you can’t dictate what your teammates and enemies are going to buy. Overall not that bad weapon versatility, but only God knows what type of strategies, positioning and pathing you have with all of these weapons…

FINAL STATEMENT:

You simply need to focus on better “ranked teamplay” and to find some solutions for your enormous amount of deaths, which are usually the easiest problems to fix! Try to replicate some of the solutions from my 📁┃agents-guides ; 「🎬」youtube-videos & 「💾」coaching-vods

Why?

I’ve decided to do this because of an ongoing harassment campaign that started 2 years ago over some drama that happened then, and has continued until now, on and off. This harassment has come from a small but impactful enough part of the ror2 modding community, including a member of the moderation team. This has left the ror2 modding community and Thunderstore as a place I experience far too much toxicity in for me to want to continue existing in it.

Why are people harassing you?

TL;DR a few toxic individuals decided to harass me over a disagreement, then decided to do it again.

The first drama

The drama 2 years ago, in short, was that as a bit of a joke I added a Blacklist to BetterUI to stop a guy that annoyed me from using my mod. That same day I removed the guy from the blacklist. This feature was never hidden. Months later, I added a button to the main menu that opened a small window with some info and links, including a donation link. Originally this was intended to become a in-game settings window for BetterUI and maybe even an in-game mod manager where you could edit the settings for all mods and enable/disable them.

People were unhappy about where I placed the button and that it had a donation link. At this time they also looked through the code and “discovered” the unused blacklist feature. Lies and misinformation started being spread about this feature and myself. Out of a principled position I refused to remove the blacklist feature, because even though I wasn’t using it and didn’t intend to, I believe mod creators should have full control over what they want to do with their mods. Someone made a mod that would remove the button from the main menu and disabled the blacklist. At this point I contacted thunderstore and asked them to take this mod down and they agreed to, because they also didn’t think it’s a good idea to have mods that actively target other mods to change them in ways the author doesn’t approve of.

Throughout this and especially after this, a few membes of the ror2 modding discord who disliked me started riling people up to hate me, including one of the moderators, who encouraged harassment against me and then muted me. This went on for a few days, with people harassing me throughout, trying to dox me and sending me death threat and wishing harm upon me, along with other similar harassment.

After some time, Thunderstore made new a ruling that disallowed blacklists and my mod was deprecated until I updated it. I wasn’t a fan of this ruling, because I still believe in creator autonomy, but after some deliberation I decided it would be better to keep my mod on Thunderstore to not hurt all the people who use my mod.

After this drama, I basically removed myself from the RoR2 modding community because it had become such a toxic place. While there were still a lot of people I liked and was on good terms with, there were too many people who had harassed me and been terrible towards me. At this time I also significantly reduced my time working on BetterUI. I still made some updates, like the big translation update I’m very proud of, but I never expanded on my original plans for the main menu button and just left it where it was.

The second drama

A few months ago, I discovered that a new mod had been uploaded to Thunderstore that removed my main menu button once again. I wasn’t happy about this, because I still believe in creator autonomy and rights to control their work. The button showed people where to get help, how to connect with me and also how to support me. While I didn’t have a problem with people who had seen the button and wanted to hide it, my concern was that this mod would end up in modpacks and shared using mod profiles, hiding the button from people who had never seen it before.

I reached out to the creator of this mod, voicing these concerns and asking why he didn’t work with me to make it happen in a way that could address these concerns, instead of going behind my back with this mod. The discussion wasn’t fruitful and the creator then took the mod down himself.

A few weeks pass and another similar mod comes up, this time with the creator hiding who they are, so I simply went to Thunderstore and asked them to remove it, in accordance with the previously established sentiment that mods shouldn’t modify other mods in bad faith, and they took it down. Not too long after, a new mod came up, made by one of the people who previously harassed me, that instead let users generically remove buttons from the main menu, circumventing the ruling by Thunderstore. It was also immediately used by modpacks to remove the button, which is exactly what I was concerned with. Since Thunderstore wouldn’t take this mod down, I instead made it so my mod wouldn’t work if the button was removed, and I put out a statement explaining my feelings about the situation, that I didn’t mind people wanting to hide the button, but that I had concerns about new users, etc.

This sparked a new wave of harassment, along with a back and forth between myself and the creator of this mod, changing our mods to adapt to the others changes. This culminated in the other developer making a mod breaking the functionality of the modding framework the community uses, which Thunderstorm saw as clearly bad faith and took down. In outrage/protest, some of these developers started breaking their own mods if BetterUI was installed.

It was at this time that I started considering simply taking down all my mods because I was tired of all the harassment and senseless hate. Once again some toxic individuals took a simple disagreement of morals and opinion and turned it into a hate campaign against me.

After some time, one of the Thunderstore moderators caved to the angry mob and made up some new rules, which would disallow donation links in the main menu, and disallowing mods from making themselves incomaptible with other mods for no reason.

Once these new rules went into effect, I updated BetterUI to remove my donation link, but I kept my mod incompatible, because in my opinion it is valid to say that my mod is incompatible with another mod that was made only to remove something from my mod, the main menu button, which I care about. The moderator who made the new rules arbitrarily (in their words) decided that the button didn’t matter and I can’t make my mod incompatible because of it.

It was at this point I decided to finally go through with removing my mod, I was still being harassed, with the moderation doing nothing about it, and instead literally making up arbitrary rules to decide what is important in my mod. This is why, in protest, I removed everything from my mod other than the button.

In the aftermath, while I was continuing to be harassed, the moderator who originally abused their mod powers against me 2 years ago , did so again, while leaving all of their friends unpunished for harassing me, further solidifying my decision.

That brings us here. While I’m very unhappy with what happened here, I don’t want anyone to go out and harass any of these individuals. If I see anyone doing so, they will be banned from my community. The moral of this story shouldn’t be to respond with the same hate these people have, but instead to be better.

That being said, a lot of misinformation is spread by the people who have harassed me so I absolutely encourage anyone who feels like it to correct that misinformation, civilly.

And no, I don’t think I’m perfect or completely blameless in what has happened. I know I’m a very stubborn individual who will push back if I feel like I’m being treated unfairly, but I’ve never ever harassed any of these people or gone after them like they have me.

What happens now?

For now, the mods remain taken down. Yesterday after I took down the mods, a few people joined the discord and were quick to offer me money in exchange for access to the mod. I didn’t feel comfortable with that, so I instead made it available here on discord for free and encouraged people to still donate if they wanted it, but I don’t want to charge for the mod. I will mirror this sentiment here. I’m not in the best financial spot right now and could use any donations, and BetterUI hasn’t made me much money over the years. Here are the donation links if you do feel kind enough to help me out:

The mod will remain free to access here on discord for now. If I do decide to take it down, I will give perpetual access to anyone who’s ever donated before, even in the past, simply contact me. This is not an attempt to charge money for the mod, this is simply because it doesn’t feel right to me to take it away from anyone who was kinda enough to donate to me.

You can find all the downloads in on my Discord Server

Extra info

Speaking of misinformation being spread about me, there are a few common lies I want to counter here.

I have never broken any Thunderstore rules. Both times rules were changed, my mod was deprecated as per the procedure for these new rulings, and was reinstated once I changed my mod.

Thunderstore has also never given me any special treatment. While it could be argued that the rule about modding other mods was made just for me, it applies universally and was born from the principles that TS leadership believes in. Meanwhile multiple rules were actually made against me, and I was unfairly punished by moderators, while the people harassing me barely were.

BetterUI has never contained any malware or anything dangerous or collected user information. The blacklist was coded in a harmless way, and simply checked an external list to see if the mod should harmlessly disable itself. There was never any risk of any harm due to this. BetterUI also never collected any information. Ever since the update that allowed BetterUI to automatically update the language files, I can see how often these files are downloaded, but that doesn’t give me any information about anyone and BetterUI has never collected any.

Yesterday May 18, 2024 I took down all the latest versions of my mods from Thunderstore, including BetterUI, which is now marked deprecated and the latest version has been stripped of all the main features.

Y-Position Info UI

You’re probably here from GameLightz’ recent video on Pixel Bunkers.
Y-Position Info UI adds a simple UI to show your Y position, meaning your vertical position in the world. This mod is intended to help with building, more specifically building pixelbunkers.

You can set an Entity as your Y Reference Entity, meaning instead of showing your overall Y position, it shows you how far above or below you are in relation to a specific entity. This is intended to be used with foundations, showing your position as exactly 0 when standing on the foundation. You can change your Y Reference Entity by looking at an entity and pressing “Reload” while not holding anything in your hand, or with the
setyentity
command.
